A1:Let´s talking about the composition work in Violence Beyond All Reason?
Nolan:Yeah, we had little bits of riffs here and there And started to put things together in late 2018! 2018 is when we decided to make the album it was when we decided we had enough riffs and we should make something!
A2:What Paragons inspire the band in the second song?
Nolan:Paragons is written about a boy named “aitzaz Hassan” who saved his classmates in an act of terrorism at his school in his native Pakistan. It inspired me to write some lyrics.
A3:What kind of suffering inspire the band in this album?
Nolan:The world gave us a lot of inspiration on this album. In the news, it’s seems every where you look there is a lot to talk about and it inspired a lot of chaos in the lyrics!
A4:What inspired the fifth song, the pandemic?
Nolan:I’d say so in sense! The song is heavily influenced by one of our favorite bands Obliveon from Montreal Canada that we grew up listening to. The song was originally called the coma but we added one world coma because it seemed fitting considering the state of the world.
A5:Some literature or film inspire the band?
Nolan:Most certainly the bible inspired lyrics on this album, articles in the news here in Canada and around the globe!
A6:What´s the idea behind artwork´s album?
Nolan:Thank you for asking about the artwork! It’s created by the great Ed Repka! And is a take on our debut album! It’s supposed to be the next level of hell you could say when travelling down the mouth of the monsters!
A7:How is Besieged different from your previous bands and projects?
Nolan:Besieged is a long time band when we were very young 13 and 14 years old. Tristan was very young when we put out victims as was I. We didn’t have many projects before but we have played in several bands along the way that are both crossover and metal combined!
A8:What is the last chance dealt with in the opening song?
Nolan:It’s about personal experiences Tristan has dealt with alcoholism dealt with growing up and experiences, I have also dealt with.
A9:Why the band have this name?
Nolan:The name sounded very cool when were kids it’s tough to think back twenty years ago lol!
A10:It is true that the first album made in 2005 was only made of covers besides the cover of Sepultura?
Nolan:The album in 2005 was unreleased and features all original material.
A11:How band get to Unspeakable Ax Records?
Nolan:They got in touch with us in 2012 and wanted to re release our victims beyond all help from 2009!
A12:This album is conceptual?
Nolan:The album is in sense a continuation from violence beyond all reason!
A13:The band feel differences between Besieged and now in Violence Beyond All Reason?
Nolan:Yes absolutely! We have had a few members help out but the majority of this record is written by myself and Tristan.
A14:What would the 2022 Besieged say to the 2003 Besieged?
Nolan:Stop drinking! No, just joking. Probably say, you should focus on writing and recording.
A15:Explain the last song,please?
Nolan:Testaments is written about right now and what is happening with the pandemic with a take on Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit.
