We speak again of our newsroom, where in a little while, in all its emotions, we begin the ninety-eighth interview of the Aristocracy.Ad Meliora is the Swedish band that talks to us and showed their debut EP titled The Void, The Time, The Path .They will make a complete album this year. But, for now, our interview with them and the band has already been shown to you. A1:Talking about the composition work in The Void,The Time,The Path?
Ad Meliora:We usually start by bringing a basic idea or song structure to the rehearsal room and if we feel it has potential we start working around that idea in the room together.
A2:Why are song structures complex?
Ad Meliora:We all come from very technical focused bands which play with non standard composition & patterns because that's the music that inspires us and lets us be creative at our most, but , we decided to make more easy going songs this time and just adding some small complex details here and there. I can promise you we are holding us back here! :)
A3:What kind of metaphors does the song Lenses bring to us?
Ad Meliora:On a daily-basis we are exposed to different kinds of situations that are logically and humanly not accettable but nowadays and probably due to social-pressure, those situations are considered ok and we do not care to intervene and change them. We prefer to look away, we pretend to not see them. We´re kinda wearing Lenses everyday.
A4:Is it correct to say that the members are shy?
Ad Meliora:We are definitely not shy ;), we are coming from countries where people are warm and very open with each other, so that probably has an impact on our general behaviour.

A5:What social situations are unacceptable in the songs and in the band's daily life?
Ad Meliora:All the situations the song is talking about are basically based on a metaphor. To be transparent, see through. The problem is there but you cannot notice, you don't want to notice it. People in trouble or going through problems you could potentially help but you prefer to keep going on your way and pass by.
A6:What´s the idea behind artwork´s album?
Ad Meliora:It plays with the idea of the song and video. We all don't see or don't want to see many of the situations that surround us because if makes us feel uncomfortable. That and the part played by social media, where many people chose to share some of those situations like they were funny. That is why we chose the emoji to represent the lenses we al wear that make us see as normal many situations that shouldn't be.

A8:How is Ad Meliora different from your previous or other projects?
Ad Meliora:We are all coming from different backgrounds and projects even though some of us played together in some other bands. We have been doing Hardcore/Post hardcore, Metalcore, Funk Metal, Post rock, Math rock/metal and also progressive. All those styles are different from what we do in Ad Meliora, we basically took all our experience in these styles and compress it to the minimum expression, to make it easier and more enjoyable to listen for the general audience.
A9:How band know Neecee Agency?
Ad Meliora:We noticed NeeCee Agency and its work through Ottone Pesante, an interesting brass-metal band from Italy. We thought we´d like to work with a trustworthy agency with an eye to the underground scene. We contacted them and Barbara answered! We were gladly surprised!
A10:The band feel differences between this ep and the debut album?
Yes, way different, as part of the normal growth of a band, we are experimenting and evolving, that is even more important on us cause we all come from very different musical backgrounds and we need to challenge ourselves with the compositions constantly until finding the perfect band sound mix

A12:This EP is conceptual? yes or no and why?
This is just a single release, it is not conceptual in it self, it just focused in one main topic
A13:What´s bands influence ours?
As you already know we are totally different from each other so you can have a wide range of variety here: From Glassjaw and Deftones, to August Burn Red, Mogwai, Toe, Alien Ant Farm
