Frist Song: Raging Skies is a Painkiller vibe song that we all agreed very easily in the band, that is going to be our opening track. Regarding lyrics Is a reference to the Six-day war and mostly to the ground attacks made by fighter aircrafts. It portrays both the horrors of war and the political games behind it.
Second Song:Finger on the Trigger is the song that we chose to make a lyric video for the album. Is an allegory for turning off the TV set, to silence the propaganda of corrupted journalists.
Third Song:Beyond the Grave is the more doomish song of the album and its about Erinyes, or as the roman mythology calls them, the Furies, dark vengeful female deities of the underworld.
Four Song:Broken Mirror is an Iron Maiden vibe song. In most cultures, mirrors are symbols of vanity and ego. So Broken Mirror, is our way of saying that in order to find your true self and defeat the inner demons you must break this mirror, first.
Fifth Song:The album’s title track, Midnight Flames, is a story loosely inspired by a book, Fahrenheit 451. It’s a tale about a future society where a cult rules over everything and owing or reading books is strictly forbidden. The hour of midnight plays a significant role in the occult and here it indicates the spiritual darkness.
The sixth track, Under the Gun is speedy song, and regarding lyrics. is another dystopian song, this time inspired by Stephen King’s ‘The Running Man’. It’s about a reality show where the survival instincts of the players are put to the test, for the pleasure of viewers, worldwide.
The seventh song is Seven Years of Death, if a “riffy” song which tells another fantasy story about our planet, the Earth, who seeks help against human destroying nature and finds it in the face of apocalyptic angels.Eighth song is Onward to Victory is an epic song which is a tribute to freedom, taken from our national anthem, where freedom is personified as a warrior maiden.Finally, the closing track Holy Warrior is also an epic song, which lyrics are dedicated to the memory of Mark Sheldon of Manilla Road. It tells the tale of Jeanne d’Arc, her courage and faith before her executioners.
