Well,friends of aristocracy!
We will now begin, in all its emotions, the seventy-ninth interview of the Aristocracy.
Today, our newsroom welcomes the North American stoner metal duo Hellfire 76 for a chat. They show us their self-titled EP.We thank the band and our Davide for introducing us to this band. We expect many things from them besides this EP and in this interview, they tell us about the EP and their career. We must say that we didn't mention former guitarist Bolo Johnson, not because we don't like him. But, we just didn't know about his existence. Two songs from them will be posted during the interview.
A1:Let’s talk about the composition work in “Hellfire 76” EP?
Hellfire 76:We recorded 6 songs in Nov 2021 with producer Rob Tavaglione at Catalyst Recordings here in Charlotte, NC. Figure that it is easier to promote 6 songs at a time, it allows us to put out more material often.
A2:Why do your songs have a dark vision?
Hellfire 76:Well, the world is in a dark place as of late.Turn on the news,Look on Social Media. It’s all power, greed, and entitlement.Don’t even get me started on these mass shootings. It’s just too much.
A3:Can we say that your songs have a realistic, pessimistic or optimistic aspect and why?
Hellfire 76:I’d say realistic, in that they tell a story. From a personal experience, historical fact or even Biblical, they all come from a power source. We don’t pick sides.
A4:We know that one of the band's guidelines is to attack the churches. But, whatever your listener's belief is, what is the criticism of your songs based on?
Hellfire 76:The band does not “attack” anything or anyone. We write about oppression by any entity that uses the angle of “ It’s for your own good”.

A5:What are the vocal distortions that the band seeks to do on this album?
Hellfire 76:The vocal dirt just adds grit, thickens it up in the mix, kinda sits better in the mix.
A6:Some literature or film inspired the band?
Hellfire 76:We take and are inspired by all mediums, Documentaries, Horror Movies, Bibles of all sorts, Not one specific thing just whatever strikes a nerve.
A7:What´s the idea behind the artwork?
Hellfire 76:Well, not definitely makes you think, look twice, ect. It is evocative and conjures a variety of emotions. At the end of the day, it’s just a Ouija board, plain and simple. A global medium for asking question on the subatomic level.
A8:In a way, does your daily work help to influence any of your music?
Hellfire 76:Absolutely! We all see people force-feeding their beliefs on others everyday. “Believe what I believe or you’re wrong./ My way or the highway” The “saved” ones are the most guilty of disrespect to others, their kids, people in service industries, act. But hey, all they need is a couple of Hail Mary’s and they are on their way…..right back to being a shitty person.
A9:How is Hellfire 76 different from your previous bands?
Hellfire 76:Same in a lot of ways but different too. Hellfire 76 is pretty heavy at times. The overall tone is grittier, lyrically really strong, It fires on all cylinders. All killer, no filler! It is a totally free thinking, creative relationship. It’s split down the middle, no egos or hangups. It’s not ‘my band”, it’s “our band”.We are supportive of each other’s ideas and input. Keep it open and honest in all aspects on the band, writing music, lyrics, booking shows. It’s a team effort. A10:Is the album conceptual? Yes or no, and why?
Hellfire76:The album, no, but the band is at times. We will always write about the rights and wrongs of everything in our own colorful way. That’s the power source that drives the mood!

A11:What kind of subject doesn´t deserve to be in a Hellfire 76 song?
Hellfire 76:Sex, Drugs, Rock Roll. That is just tired. We’re not 15 trying to piss off our elders. We take a much more serious approach to our songs, always will.
A12:Why does the band have this name?
Hellfire 76:Ahhhh,Because it sounds good! Nothing more than that.
A13:Are your inner demons the band's best influence?
Hellfire 76:Inner demons? No, definitely the OUTER demons that are the biggest influences.
A14:Is the band planning to do a full-length this year?
Hellfire 76:No, but we will be releasing about 2 Ep’s a year. People consume music differently now. Sometimes on a full length, all the songs on there don’t get the full attention of the listener.
A15:Is the band planning to hire another musicians?
Hellfire 76: No plans to add other musicians. If Bolo gets better he is welcomed back with open arms. Otherwise we will just stay a 2 pc like we always have been. What works, works!
