We will do a new Forty-Third Interview in all your emotions from now on.We will speak with an Italian band called Genghis Khan. They practice Classic Heavy Metal and show us their third album titled Possessed By The Moon. The band comes from Bologna and joined in 2012. Let's go to their presentation before the interview and we will only have a song from this new album.
A1:Talking about the composition work in Possessed By The Moon? GK:Hello , the composition path has been very easy and simple, after the Colder than heaven release I started to record a lot of demo in my basement with my PC, We've had a long winter housebound for covid so this helps the imagination and the creation of new material, I worked a lot with my drummer during 2021, only in the final part of the recordings did I include Mike's excellent work on lead guitar A2:Who is the sandman GK:He is the dark protagonist of our unconscious, we are often afraid of him but at the same time we are curious to know him, he is a means to get to understand who we really are A3:Some literature or film inspire the band? GK:No although it may seem like it sometimes, at least not on this album A4:Why the band have this name? Gk:Lee Under our keyboard player who was previously our merchandiser has a great passion for horror movies and while I was recording the demos he sensed that the new material might need the insert of this type of horror theme and I think he had the right intuition because we are very satisfied with what has been done A6:Is the men like specie an experience going wrong? Mmmmm, This is a very long speech, what I think is that even if we believe the opposite in reality everything is going as it should, maybe we are not yet as advanced as we think A7:What kind of subject don´t deserve a Gengis Khan song? I don't know exactly what you mean but we are a free band, we don't have a specific theme even if from the appearance, the name and the themes etc etc ... it may seem, so we'll see what the future holds. A8:What´s the idea behind artwork´s album? GK:I don't know, I should ask Allan, the graphic designer of Stormspell Records, I haven't had a chance to do it yet A9:How is Gengis Khan different from your previous bands? EH, Of course yes, we are really different, especially scenically, we really love wearing make-up and dressing themed up but this is only for the Possessed by the moon period, or maybe not , I don't know, who will live will see A10:What´s bands influence ours? GK:I personally love the Italian Heavy Metal scene of the 80s very much, Vanadium, Death SS, Rex Inferi, Strana Officina but also Goblin and as far as the rest of the world is concerned, I really love the 80s Hair metal scene in Hollywood. A11:Before music,what the bands loves to doing? We all love good food and we like to drink lots of beer and good wine, sex is also an interesting activity

GK:It depends, not necessarily, I like this question, I'd rather think it wasn't always like this, but yes, in the end maybe it is A13:This album is conceptual?yes or no and why? GK:No it's not, only for Possessed by the wolf and Possessed by the moon, it tells the story of a child who is first possessed by an evil witch and then he takes revenge in Possessed by the moon, it's not a children's story as it can make it seem, hides many details of everyday reality, listen to it! A14:How the band arrive to Stormspell Records? GK:I was already in contact with Stormspell for Colder than heaven but in the end I signed for Steel Shark records, a young new French record company, I got along very well with them but then they were not happy with the inclusion of the keyboards and the new direction while instead Stormspell who immediately believed in us with the new album A15:The band feel differences between Colder Than Heaven and now in Possessed By The Moon? The differences are many sure, but you can also find many bridges connecting with Colder than heaven, songs like Long live the rebels, Extreme power could be included in colder than heaven A16:Literally Speaking:Is the world ridiculous? As I said before it actually seems to be like this, but maybe you know, this is how it was supposed to go, but I also think we have to make an effort to try to change things, but there are too few at the moment who think this.
