Thirtieth Interview With The Italian Band Black Oath



Well, Friends of the Aristocracy! We will start today and now in all your emotions,the thirtieth interview. Our interviewees make a hidden sound and with a lot of dark energy in order to scare and captivate those who deserve to be captivated. We spoke with the Italians of Black Oath.They present us within two days their fifth album entitled Emeth Truth And Death. The band is formed by: A.Th on Vocals, Bass, Chris Z on Drums and Gabriel on Guitars.Let's go to a song by them before this exclusive chat.

A1:Talking about the composition work in Emeth Truth And Death?

Black Oath:The composition took a bit more than usual due to covid restrictions and shit like this. We couldn’t access to the rehearsal room so we worked from our respective places. The music itself didn’t suffered of this anyway.

A2:In the fifth song,the band talks about reincarnation.Is it correct to say that you believe this or was it just for the construction of this song?

Black Oath:That song talks more about death and the way to reach it.

A3:Is there a sludge or stoner vein in sound of band?

Black Oath:No.Both sludge and stoner have nothing to do with real metal.That’s music for hipsters.

A4:How come emerged the invites to Joe and Ustumallagam?

Black Oath:They both are longtime friends.Things came easily.

A5:Some literature or film inspire the band?

Black Oath:Occultism and culture. Death in all its forms is another great form of inspiration.

A6:I know it's only the second song on the album, but do you in your normal lives believe that truth and death are best friends?

Black Oath:No. The song is inspired by the legend of Golem and kabbala.

A7:How band arrive to Sun&Moon Records?

Black Oath:We were in search of a new label seriously involved in our music.They showed up real interest.

A8:What´s the idea behind artwork´s album?

Black Oath:That’s a pic my unlce took many years ago.It fits perfectly with the album and band concept.

A9:What´s the difference between Balaam and Babalon?

Black Oath:They have nothing to do between.Babalon belongs to Crowley’s Thelema philosophy.Balaam is another caracter from the Hebrew mythology.

A10:How is Black Oath different from your previous bands?

Black Oath:It is the most introspective band i ever had. It represent my spirit and mind 100%.

A11:Why the band have this name?

Black Oath:Because of the “Don’t Break the Oath” album.

A12:Is the last song on the album a criticism of religions or the Catholic Church?

Black Oath:No.We don’t care about Catholicism.The song is another prayer for death

A13:This album is conceptual?yes or no and why?

Black Oath:No. All songs live by themselves.

A14:What kind of subject don´t deserve a Black Oath song?

Black Oath:Fantasy or gore bullshit.

A15:What´s bands influence ours?

Black Oath:Occultism,LHP/Thelema/Luciferianism .. and old metal bands like Mercyful Fate, Venom, Iron Maiden, Celtic Frost, Mayhem, Black Sabbath, Angel Witch, Sodom, Death ss

A16:Based on the songs of album and your own opinion,is it better to think the human being as agony than an animal for health?

Black Oath:Humanity is cancer. I am not a pscychopatic animalist, but i respect nature.

A17:The band feel differences between Samhain and now in Emeth Truth And Death?

Black Oath:Samhain was a stand alone track written for a split Lp exclusively.The new album is the natural follow up.

A18:How come emerged the invites to F.Plazak and M.Luther?

Black Oath:They are friends and we respect their bands.
