The Aristocracy proudly arrives at its Twenty-Sixth Interview. This time,we speak with a band that drinks in the classic source of metal allied to the melodic side. This band is the Danes from The KillerHertz. The band shows us their third album entitled Starburst. The band is made up of:Thomas Trold on Vocal And Guitar,Jakob Nielsen on Bass and Kent Killerhertz on Drums.Yes, interestingly, the band's name is also the drummer's last name and it is Kent himself who answered our questions. In this exclusive interview with the Brazilian press that after a song, you will see all his wonderful emotions.

A1:Talking about the composition work on Starburst?

Kent:A completely different experience so far.The writing process was done after three months, we haven’t even done any rehearsals together before entering to the studio,Just figuring it all out on our way, especially the bass and drum parts.A completely different way of doing things, and something none of us have done before. But it turned out much better than anticipated, which have given me for instance, a hole new way of thinking as a musician.

A2:What band mean with Modern Rock?

Kent:Well,it was meant to define an era.You know between classic and modern and our inspiration thrive most through the modern approach as a band.

A3:It´s more easy or more practical a band like power trio?

Kent:We are considering having a fourth member with us again .The idea of a trio was only temporary. But it will not be easy remaining as a trio, but doable.

A4:What aspects of life does the band talk on Starburst?

Kent:The lyrics on Starburst circles the mental state of mind like depression, momentary break downs, the struggle and the waiting for it all to end.Hoping it’s only a temporary mental illness. And of course accepting that we all have downfalls in life, being able to handle it, and carry-on living.Perhaps even changing your perception of things and learning more about ourselves on the way.

A5:What is the crisis of humanity that most inspires the band?

Kent:Don’t think we get that inspired by the crisis going on in the world .Effected by it, indeed but we try to keep away from subjects like this in our writing process and lyrics.

A6:What inspiration influence the band?

Kent:Our inspirations and influence thrive mostly through classic bands and artists from the 70´s, 80´s and 90´s, such as Megadeth,Metallica, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Merciful Fate etc.The era of that time has had a significant influence on all of us,some of the best albums are made in that period! A7:How is The KillerHertz different from your previous bands?

Kent:The KillerHertz is a combination of previous bands, from different genres of rock, pop, and metal music. Its like taking the best from all worlds{Hahaha! }

A8:What´s the idea behind the album´s artwork?

Kent:The making of this album was a real soul-searching process, and we wanted the artwork to represent that vulnerability of accepting downfalls in life, and seeing the light, with a bursting star being the source of light.

A9:Some literature or film inspire the band?

Kent:Biographies, Danish literature and science fiction.

A10:Literally Speaking: Is the world ridiculous?

Kent:Wouldn’t call the world ridiculous…. Perhaps funny and very odd, at the same time.

A11:Those the songs on Starburst have black humor?

Kent:No black humor, the lyrics circles the mental state of mind, like temporary struggles and momentary break downs, which life sometime gives

A12:Is man an animal that carries the corpse on its back?

Kent:Perhaps carrying his own…Depends on the definition.

A13:Respect for any band is important and necessary. But is there a band that you listen to and think: I respect them, but will that ever be my approach to Hard\Heavy style?

Kent:No I don’t think so,nothing comes to mind

A14:This album is conceptual? Yes or no and why?

Kent:The soundtrack to Thomas´ life.{hahaha!}But no I wouldn’t call Starburst a concept album, the tracks variates over different themes .Perhaps,a more personal written album.

A15:Are the men in sense of species an experience going wrong?

Kent:That’s an answer we will get in 20-30 years from now.

A16:The band feel differences between Innocent Sinners and now in Starburst?

Kent:If you compare the sound and music .Starburst is a heavier album compared to Innocent Sinners, and earlier releases too for that matter. Musically,we have improved a lot on this new album, and taking things in a different direction. We have a wider sound image, adding more keyboards and lots of guitar sections to it.Perhaps, a more polished and compacted sound, than earlier releases.

A17:Based on your words and songs, is it better to think of the human being as agony than an animal for health?

Kent:A human in agony,That’s what our writing is all about.
