We speak again of our newsroom, where in a little while,we will begin in all your emotions, theinterview 128 of the Aristocracy.Today, we will talk to a British band Tigguo Cobauc.that presents a sludge of high technique, intensity and ability to mix several layers of metal. This band despite being British, but precisely in Nottingham. This band has members in South America and Italy. Let's start this interview now, but before that. We want to thank the band and Davide Pulitto, our great friend and Italian helper who introduced us to this spectacular band. Let's start now!

A1:Hi there! Let’s start from talking about the songwriting of “Trial By Combat”?

Tigguo Cobauc:Hi, Aristocracia Blog. All riffs are created by Luca Martello on guitar and then arranged in the songs by the full band.We have been very focused on our sound and the genre we wanted to create as a band.

A2:Why the band think that the New World stays in Collision?

Tigguo Cobauc:We wrote the “New World Collision” song to share our opinions around our own and other people's experiences during the Covid-19 lockdown period.

A3:Some literature or film inspired the band?

Tigguo Cobauc:Not really, we are more inspired by real life events and the history of Nottingham.

A4:Which darkest desires influence the band?

Tigguo Cobauc:Our Darkest Desire is making the best, most obscure music we can and to share it with the world.

A5:I know that other releases were created by the band, but the fact that they happen so quickly is because musically you felt that this tuning was faster than expected?

Tigguo Cobauc:We created this album through a natural process. But yes,it was also a surprise for us how some of the songs were finalised.

A6:Who are the innocents devastated in the second song?

Tigguo Cobauc:The lyrics of this song specifically relate to a fictitious attack upon Nottingham city during a night which surprised local habitants who found themselves suddenly fighting for their survival and also fighting to ensure that power would not fall into the hands of the enemy. When it seemed that everything was lost, they found the strength to fight back and regain control of the city. We mirrored this idea with current greed of humankind and someone living on the edge due to a gambling addiction not only putting his livelihood at his risk but also his family’s too.

A7:Why does the band have this name?

Tigguo Cobauc:“Tigguo Cobauc” is the ancient name of the first settlement which then over many years grew to create the city of Nottingham. We chose this band name to show a connection to the place where we all live and the many stories connected with the history and culture of the city.

A8:How is Tigguo Cobauc different from your previous bands?

Tigguo Cobauc:One of the main differences is that we are not restricted by just one music style, this is why we call our style Blackened Sludge. Regarding the sound, the guitar and the bass have a real sludgey distortion and the music style is largely influenced by 80's and 90's extreme metal.

A9:Is this LP conceptual?

Tigguo Cobauc:Yes, it is basically one main story divided in to six chapters.

A10:Which judgments in combat are those addressed by the band, and who makes these judgments besides the band itself?

Tigguo Cobauc:All the songs are related with ancient wars and fiction as I said before, so mostly these judgements are made in the field on a life-and-death situation.

A11:How did the band arrive to Spectral Hound Records and Xaninho Discos?

Tigguo Cobauc:The band signed with Xaninho Discos who then found Spectral Hound Records. Recently the band signed with Kingside Records for the next two albums and also with “Tikoes Kecemploeng Prods” from Indonesia to get our debut album “Trial By Combat” also released in that country.

A12:Which bands inspire Tigguo Cobauc?

Tigguo Cobauc:All our band members have different musical influences but our focus is to create a unique sound where listeners can recognize it as Tigguo Cobauc. Our guitar riffs are influenced by old school Doom metal and extreme metal.

A13:Is it more easy or practical to have a power-trio band?

Tigguo Cobauc:We have never really thought about that but yes it is very easy and practical.

A14:Can you explain the song number three, please?

Tigguo Cobauc:It basically describes all the horror, violence, fear, etc in the war scene.

A15:How did the band know about The Metallist?

Tigguo Cobauc:We always looking for new ways to share our music and The Metallist definitely caught our eye as soon we searched about their work. We contacted them showing our interest to be promoted and it happened.

A16:What would the 2022 band say to the 2018 band?

Tigguo Cobauc:When we started the band our mission was to create a well produced album, but now we have achieved this our aim is to take our album on tour and perform live as much as possible and to continue writing new music. We will be touring Brazil in October 2022! For more information, please contact Xaninho Discos.
