We speak again of our newsroom, where in a little while, we will enjoy in all its emotions, the one hundred and third interview of the Aristocracy. This time, our goal is to talk to the band Sisyphean and they show us their second album entitled Colors Of Faith. The band has already been presented and their full album as well.Deservedly, they were here and on our popular list. Now, they come back and carry out an unprecedented interview. Before her, we have to be grateful to Kunal, the owner of the Indian label Transcending Obscurity Records. A label that is already part of the life of the Aristocracy and the owners and employees of the page. Let's chat, right now!

A1:Let´s talk about the composition work in Colours of Faith?

Sisyphean:The whole composition for the “Colours of Faith” album was done by band members during weekly rehearsals and solo creative processes from each member throughout 2-3 year time period.

A2:Does the third song on the new album have any connection even though it's hidden to Freddie?

Sisyphean:Hearts Of Mercury“ doesn‘t have any connection or hidden meaning to Freddie.

A3:In some videos made available by your label, which I like as much as the band, you are called dissonant. Do you agree with this opinion? Whether it is affirmative or not, the answer. Justify!

Sisyphean:The music of Sisyphean can be called dissonant to some extent, but dissonance is not the main focal point in our creative process. So answering to your question, if we agree with this opinion, then yes, we agree but only to some extent.

A4:I like your themes of wars, but that's what raises the question. Are the wars you refer to in this album everyday wars or world conflicts or both possibilities presented?

Sisyphean:Wars which are being referred to in the album are inner wars with which we as humanity have to deal on daily basis.

A5:Coming back quickly in 2017, the band made an excellent split album. Which of the bands that participated in this Split with you is Sisyphean's friendliest band?

Sisyphean:We are friends with all the bands which participated in „Nekrokatarsis“ split in 2017.

A6:If we are going to take the name of the band, we can suggest some questions. Let's take this one: How to be astute in a country where good extreme bands have emerged like for example besides you, the Crypts of Despair?

Sisyphean:Our country of origin (Lithuania) has bands/acts which are worth listening to, and if there‘s a possibility, attend their live shows: Crypts Of Despair (which you‘ve mentioned), Luctus, Erdve, Au-Dessus, Phrenetix, Aortes, Extravaganza just to name a few. Go check them out.

A7:What´s the idea behind artwork´s album?

Sisyphean:The main idea behind the artwork of the album is the constant struggle between two different poles of human nature. One can call it a struggle between good an evil in a very basic meaning of it.

A8:Previously, the band was called Division and you had a style similar to today's Sisyphean. The difference in style is Thrash Metal. Why did Sisyphean leave Thrash style ?

Sisyphean:The change of the band‘s name is inversely proportional to the music style which has less influences from Thrash metal.

A9:How band arrive to Transcending Obscurity Records?

Sisyphean:We were referred to the Transcending Obscurity Records by one of our friends who plays in Crypts Of Despair. Our music was sent to the label‘s chief, he liked what we do, everything else is history.

A10:Due to the current technocracy, answering with your words, do we live in the most deceitful time of humanity if we compare it to the time of our parents?

Sisyphean:I wouldn‘t call the current time period the most deceitful compared to earlier ones. All time periods have their pros and cons. The worst is yet to come.

A11:What´s bands influence Sisyphean?

Sisyphean:All the bands we listen to, witness live, influence us. It doesn‘t necessarily has to be a black metal, death metal or any „extreme“ genre band to influence our music.

A12:What intuitive undulations band doing in this album?

Sisyphean:Well, to be honest with the you this question would need to have more elaboration points to provide the proper response.

A13:This album is conceptual?yes or no and why?

Sisyphean:Colours Of Faith“ is not a conceptual album, it contains different visions and reflections of human‘s/humanity‘s struggles.

A14:What kind of subject don´t deserve a Sisyphean song?

Sisyphean:I can‘t pinpoint any specific subject or topic which as you say „don‘t deserve“ to be included in Sisyphean song. We take everything in consideration when working on our songs: if something doesn‘t suite us, we drop it out. It‘s simple as that.

A15:What would the 2022 Sisyphean say to the 2014 Sisyphean?

Sisyphean:Good night and good luck

A16:Are there differences, similarities or the albums Illusions of Eternity and Colors of Faith are continuities? Justify your answer, please?

Sisyphean:i‘d say all: if one would listen to both albums one after another, then differences/similarities/continuities can be found. Give it a go and find out for yourself. I consider these mentioned matters to be rather subjective.

A17:Going back quickly in 2014, having made the EP Perpetual Cycle Of Absolution was the certainty that the current name of the band was the definitive one?

Sisyphean:The release of „Perpetual Cycle Of Absolution“ marked the start of the whole endeavour, so at that time Division was the definitive title for the band.
